Our Story

We grew up in Wichita, Kansas where we reside with our two children. Tara spent many years teaching elementary school in the greater Wichita area. She now volunteers her time at a local school. Nolan has spent the majority of his career in the medical device industry.

A few years ago, we got the itch to pursue a passion for real estate. This pursuit led us to Broken Bow, Oklahoma where we crossed paths with local designer and realtor, Monica Maynard Wood. We were looking for a getaway that was surrounded by nature, but didn’t sacrifice on style or luxury. This led us to The Barndo and the entire family fell in love with the design and amazing location in the heart of Hochatown.
